Requests specific to Morgan Stanley Growth Fund

Note
  1. All certified copies are to be
    • Attested by a gazetted officer; or a practicing Chartered Accountant or Advocate (or)
    • Attested by the manager of a bank where the Unit holder maintains an account, specifying the manager's bank identification number (or)
    • Notarized by a Notary Public. (Note: A power of attorney is always to be notarized by a notary public.)
  2. In case the Power of Attorney is supplied by the Unit holder, it may be accepted in case it is substantially in accordance with the format provided.
  3. All documents are to be executed on plain paper. Wherever stated so specifically, documents are to be executed on non-judicial stamp paper of the stated denomination. After completion, the required document should be submitted to any of our Points of Contact for resolution.

Additional Purchase/Redemption/Switch Request

If the holder wishes to purchase additional units of the fund he/she has already invested in or he/she wants to redeem the units they hold or would like to switch funds from one scheme to another, click here to download the form. The completed form, signed by all the holders will have to be sent across to us.

Change of address

If the unit holder wishes to change his/her address in our records, please click here to download the form. If the investment amount was Rs. 50,000 or more, the unit holder will have to get the address changed with CVL (click here to download the form in case of individuals and here in case of non-individuals) and send us the new KYC letter. Change of Bank A/c or mandate

The bank account details with us are used to credit dividends and redemption amounts. If the unit holder would like to change the bank account details, click here to download the form. The request will have to be accompanied with a cancelled Cheque leaf as a proof of the holder’s bank account.

Addition of Joint Holder

If unit holder/s desires to add a second or third holder, then they need to inform us through a letter affixing the signatures of the second/third holder along with the PAN and its proof. Click here to download the draft letter. Please note that if the invested amount is equal to or more than Rs. 50,000 KYC compliance letter of the new holder(s) will also be required. Error in the name of the unit holder

If the unit holder's name has been erroneously recorded due to an error by the unit holder, then to rectify the same the unit holder needs to furnish certain documents to the Fund. If the error has occurred on the part of the Mutual Fund or Registrar the unit holder need not furnish the documents

Requirements:
  • A letter from the unit holder requesting correction of the error. Click here to download the form
  • Certified copy of
    1. Passport/school leaving certificate (in case of an individual);
    2. Certificate of incorporation (in case of a company);
    3. The entry in the Register of Firms (In case of a partnership firm);
    4. Passport/birth certificate (in case of NRIs).

Change of order of Holding

If the unit holder/s desire to interchange the order of holding between them, they need to furnish certain documents to the fund.

Requirements:

Misplaced/Lost Dividends/Redemption Warrants

Unit holders, who ask for fresh dividend/redemption warrant, need to submit certain documents to the fund.

Change of Minority Status of Unit Holder

Unit holder/s who attains 18 years of age need to submit certain documents to the fund.

Requirements:

Change of name

If the change in name is requested by the unit holder the documents mentioned below have to be furnished.

Requirements:
  • Indemnity Bond from the Unit holder on 100 Rupees Stamp Paper. Click here to download the form
  • Any one of the following:
    1. The gazetted notification regarding change of name (in case of individual)
    2. A fresh certificate of incorporation (in case of company)
    3. The entry in the Register of Firms relating to change of name (in case of a registered partnership firm)
    4. Declaration signed by all the partners confirming and declaring the change of name (in case of an unregistered partnership firm). Click here to download the form
    5. Certified copy of passport/documentation under the relevant jurisdiction evidencing the change in name (in case of a NRI/OCB)
  • In case of change of name of a Unit holder due to marriage, the Unit holder would have to furnish the marriage certificate.

Appointment of Guardian

If the guardian is a person appointed by the court or through legal documents the guardian needs to furnish certain documents to the fund.

Requirements:
  • Letter from the Guardian declaring that he/she is the guardian of the minor and stating his/her relationship to the minor along with court order/decree, if any
  • Certified copy of proof of age of the minor (e.g. birth certificate/passport/school leaving certificate etc.)

Pledge of Units

Unit holder/s who wish to pledge the units need to submit the documents mentioned.

Requirements:

Death of Single holder

As per the offer document, nomination facility is provided for sole/multiple unit holders. In case of death of unit holder(s), the units may be transferred to the nominee on submission of certain documents.

In case of death of all Joint Holders, there are two situations and the procedures followed are given below:

  • In case the heir is claiming under a will
